With an Honours degree in Chinese Medicine (Acupuncture and Herbs), Amber brings to her
practice an openness and enthusiasm that is tied to a strong theoretical base. Clinical practice
in a number of settings, as well as an internship at Shuguan Hospital in Shanghai, further
consolidates Amber’s clinical skill. Amber has an Honours degree in Psychology and Philosophy,
with her interest in Asian philosophy leading her to write her first class thesis in Buddhism.
Born in Detroit Michigan, she has also spent time studying in USA and India, helping to give her
a breadth of understanding about successfully communicating across cultures. Amber’s aim is to
translate the wealth of Chinese medicine’s approach to health through her practice, hopefully
empowering her clients and herself towards a life of balance and harmony. Amber also offers
Chinese medicine dietary advice and holistic counselling as a part of her diverse practice.
Amber’s particular clinical interests include providing symptom free natural treatment for women
suffering from pre or post-menopausal syndrome, as well as treating difficult menstrual and
digestive disorders that may not have responded well to western medicine alternatives.
Psychological and neurological conditions are other interests for Amber, who is constantly amazed
at the ease and simplicity with which Chinese medicine may alleviate pain and disharmony, and
contribute towards health and happiness.
